What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is a “remote assistant” who provides online business support and completes responsibilities from a computer. A Virtual Assistant can typically do almost everything a regular office employee could except you get to to employ someone with a specific skillset that you need, working for you on your preferred schedule, following your work requirements. Plus, you get to keep them for a fraction of the cost when hiring an in-house employee!
What types of assignments can VELP Virtual Assistants handle?
VELP Virtual Assistants is classified into 2: Medical VAs (MVA) and Administrative VAs (AVA).
MVAs are those who handle healthcare accounts and can do tasks such as:
- Live scribing (Charting/creating SOAP notes during a patient encounter)
- Administrative support i.e. answering patient’s questions, taking phone calls, calendar management/appointment scheduling, processing referrals/orders/records requests, email management)
- Insurance verification
- Prescription refill requests
- EHR/EMR management
AVAs handle non-healthcare clients/businesses and can handle a host of things including:
- General administrative tasks (ie. managing calendars, appointments and emails)
- Social media management
- Event management
- Digital marketing tasks (ie. SEO work, managing WordPress)
- Appointment setting
- Answering/making phone calls (ie. Customer Service, Sales)
- Data entry
Basically anything you can do on a computer, they can do it, too!
What makes VELP Virtual Assistants different from others?
Let’s face it. There is a sea of Virtual Assistants out there! But with VELP, you are guaranteed to have well-educated, well-versed and most of all well-mannered Virtual Assistants who can not just meet but exceed your expectations. Our VAs all undergo Basic Foundations Training as well as training in selected special courses and they also have experiences working in different industries and projects, hence, a wider knowledge and a more diverse skillset.
If you must know, it’s also not very easy to get into VELP and become a VA. We have a very strict screening process, background check and training process to ensure superior quality of service.
Can I hire a VA for an hour or is there a minimum number of hours?
If you have a quick project to delegate, you can definitely hire a VA (part-time or full-time) but please know that there is a minimum number of hours for the VA and that is 10 hours per week. This is to help Filipino VAs get a more stable income per week. So in case your VA will only work for an hour, you will still be billed 10 hours for that week. However, this guideline will not apply IF your VA goes on leave or absent for a long time. You are very welcome to communicate with our Client Relations Team if you are in such situation.
How about for hiring a VA to build a website? Does the minimum number of hours apply?
No. The Build Your Biz packages are billed per project. Here are the plans and pricing.
Is my VA fluent in the English language?
YES. Our Virtual Assistants have great command of the English language which make them very conversant and in demand. They are all college-educated with English as their universities’ medium of instruction. Most of them are also experienced in working in call centers. To cultivate their communication and comprehension skills, VELP makes sure each of them goes through Speech Training as well as an English Proficiency Exam.
